This friendship card is a cheeky pun about cooking rice - the Asian way. I grew up with family using traditional methods to cook rice. In this case, this card's illustration is a nod to the classic use of an Asian rice clay pot.
When a clay pot is used, you get a crispy layer of rice at the bottom. My family would add hot water to scrape it up and add flavours to it and eat it as a snack.
In memory of my grandma who passed away in 2020, I've illustrated and designed this card as part of a card collection with the intention to donate a portion of sales in honour of her.
